The Mezzo app normally operates via secure cloud connection to your Mezzo/Ness Bridge device but certain functions like firmware updating & changing cloud connection method will only work via a local network connection.
To speed up the operation of your app when you are out and about, the Mezzo app will only attempt to connect via a local connection on Wi-Fi connections that you designate as your Home Wi-Fi. This is so it doesn’t waste time looking for a non existent device on your workplace or local McDonalds Wi-Fi!
The Mezzo app displays is connection status via the green coloured information bars at the top of your display:
It is a good practice to set your Home Wi-Fi in the Mezzo app so that the app knows when it can complete a firmware upgrade or change connectivity options on your device.
1. Begin by opening your Mezzo/Ness Bridge app and Go to the Menu.
2. Scroll down in the Menu and press ‘Application‘.
3. Click on ‘Home Wi-Fi‘.
4. Select the your Home Wi-Fi SSID from the list shown, Note on some mobile devices you may need to type this SSID manually, in this case, The entry is case sensitive and must exactly match how you have your Home Wi-Fi set up as.
5. Once this is correctly set, your Mezzo app will show that it is connected locally when connected to the same network as your Ness Bridge/Mezzo device.
